How could we remap the motion trigger to only wake a Memor 12/17, without actually triggering a barcode scan? What we’re looking with this is practically support for lift to wake, which the device is missing.

We don’t offer motion as a wake-up source, which would utilize the accelerometer as a wake-up source. Many of our users have asked for it over the years, so I’ll find the feature request I wrote many years ago and agitate to do something about it.
The “Motion Trigger” feature in decoding actually uses the scan engine’s video feed to detect motion. We also use the “Time of flight” sensor too, should it provide a change in distance to the target when the video system doesn’t yet see a change in the video picture. This is a very different feature than providing a wake-up source for the terminal, and instead it is intended to wake the system up to decode a label in a fixed installation at a library or mini-mart. It’s a common feature among many of our handheld and mobile products.
Were you planning on using this feature for waking up the terminal, or for triggering scanning? I’d like to know so I can add more info to that old feature request.
