Memor 17 - Android 13 to Android 15 instructions/manual

Hello, can you someone provide me with instructions/pdf to update Memor 17 Android 13 to Android 15?

I download already:

  • M1x_M3x_JS_EspressoExtension_v3.16.003.zip
  • memor1x_3x_js_gms-user-ota-3.16.008.20251216s.zip

Welcome to our developer forum!

There are several ways to upgrade firmware for your Memor. You can manually transfer the firmware OTA file to your Memor 17 via USB, and then apply the upgrade in the Settings app, or you can use Scan2Deploy Studio or other EMM’s to perform an upgrade.

First, let me describe the method via USB…

  1. Connect your Memor to your PC via a USB cable.
  2. Enable file transfer on your Memor:
    a. Unlock your Memor’s screen, then swipe down to show the notifications.
    b. Tap the “Charging this device via USB” button to expand its size, then tap it again for more options.
    c. Select the “File Transfer” radio list button.
  3. If your PC displays a balloon asking what you’d like to do when this device connects, click it and then select “Open folder to view files” if this is convenient for you. (I find it convenient.)
  4. Copy your firmware upgrade OTA file to the Download folder. Once transferred, you can disconnect the Memor from USB, or leave it connected so the Memor can continue to charge slowly, as you find convenient.
  5. Apply the firmware upgrade:
    a. Tap the Home button.
    b. Swipe up from the bottom of the display to show the application tray.
    c. Tap the Settings app icon.
    d. Scroll to the bottom and then tap the System button.
    e. Tap the “System update” button.
    f. Tap the “Local update” button.
    g. If the firmware upgrade file does not display in the Recent window, tap the “hamburger” icon in the upper-left corner of the screen and then tap the Downloads button.
    h. Tap the “memor1x_3x_js_gms-user-ota-3.16.008.20251216s.zip” file or the newer file in the future.
    i. Here you have some options:
    i. If you want to do a factory data reset after the firmware upgrade completes, then you can select the Factory radio list button in the Reset dialog.
    ii. If you want to leave your user data intact on the Memor, then leave the Reset mode set to its default “None” setting.
    iii. If you wish to delete eSIM’s from your Memor 17, then you can select the Yes radio list buton in the “Wipe eSIM profiles” dialog.
    iv. If you wish to preserve your eSIM on your Memor 17, then leave the “Wipe eSIM profiles” mode set to its default “No” setting.
    j. Tap the “Install Update” button.
    k. If you’re doing either a factory data reset or an enterprise reset, you’ll be prompted to confirm that you will lose data. Tap the Yes button.

From this point on, firmware upgrade is automatic. When finished, you’ll see a notification to restart to finish the upgrade.

Upgrading the Enterprise Espresso OTA package is similar, so just follow these steps after upgrading firmware.
