Memor 30 Desktop Mode Not Working

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble connecting an external monitor to a Memor 30 using the Smart Dock (e.g. Desktop Mode). It does not seem to detect the monitor/switch to Desktop Mode.

I noticed it works fine with another Memor 30 device, and one difference seems to be that this one has the DisplayLink app installed (not sure if it is the reason or not). I tried installing that app in the non-working device (using Scan2Deploy) but it does not show up after Scan2Deploy completes. I made sure that the green “plus” icon was toggled.

Even doing a factory reset/firmware upgrade does not make DisplayLink app available. Tried both the latest Android 13 and 15 firmware versions.

I may be going off-track here, but does anyone have any idea of what could be going on?

Hi @Rodrigo_Tavares,

If the DisplayLink app is not present the desktop mode will not function. The Display Link app is embedded in the Espresso firmware. I would advise you to install the espresso firmware that is matching the firmware of your device.

Thanks for the reply! I had already fixed it after contacting Datalogic’s support, and the problem is exactly what you mentioned. I updated the device firmware but did not install the Espresso extensions, that’s why DisplayLink was missing. After installing the extensions, it works fine.
