I have scanned the barcode sequence to turn on function character transmission. The scanner output does not change. Example:
]C1019062212699003931020016731324100121052410019057{13}
Thanks in advance

I know that this is the wrong forum for this post. But it is a Data Logic forum and I am desperate for help. If I raise this question on any other barcoding forum, they suggest that I contact the manufacturer. I contacted Data Logic support and this is the response I received:
"The parenthesis are just part of the human readable code for a visual separator. They are not part of the embedded barcode, so they will not be part of the data transmission. "
There was no response to my follow up questions. Everything that I have read indicates that ASCII 29 should be sent from the scanner as data separators. How do you parse the data if no data separators are sent. Please help if you can.
Thank You
Hi John,
Normally a Datalogic HHS scanner will send the GS (ASCII 29) to the host. Have you connected the QBT2400 to a cradle or directly to you pc with Bluetooth? In the first case it should definitely work. In the second case I’m not sure.
For information purposes (you probably know). The GS is a so called non-printable character. So a normal Windows program will not show it. You need a program like NotePad++ or ComTestSerial to show it.
You can also try to scan the barcode below. This will convert the GS to an @
Maybe that helps you. If it doesn’t please rase a technical case on our website and request it to be converted to me.
