We have just acquired several Skorpio X5 and until now they were configured ‘by hand’ with the Datalogic application and we want to use Intunes to facilitate the management.
How can we configure the necessary parameters that we currently use with the Datalogic application but creating a profile in Intune to facilitate the configuration and management of the equipment?
The idea is to create a profile with a QR code in “kiosk” mode of a dedicated device using the Datalogic launcher and installing 2 applications on it; configure the reader’s parameters, etc.
Hello @Adrian_Perello ,
Thank you for choosing Datalogic devices.
Based on your requirements to configure Skorpio X5 devices in kiosk mode with Datalogic Launcher viaIntune, I have good news. Datalogic Launcher is available on Google Play as a managed app, which means you can deploy and configure it directly through Intune without needing Scan2Deploy for the launcher configuration.
Here’s the workflow I would suggest:
1. Device Enrollment & App Deployment
- Enroll your Skorpio X5 devices in Android Enterprise via Intune
- Deploy Datalogic Launcher from Managed Google Play
- Deploy your 2 required applications from Managed Google Play
- Use managed app configuration in Intune to configure the Datalogic Launcher in kiosk mode
2. Launcher Configuration via Intune
Through Intune’s managed app configuration for Datalogic Launcher, you can set:
- Allowed applications list (your 2 apps)
- Kiosk mode settings
- Home screen appearance
- User interface restrictions
- Startup behavior
3. Device Settings
Use Datalogic OEMConfig (deployed via Intune) for:
- Scanner parameter configuration
- Device-specific settings
- Network configurations
- Other…
Suggestion: use also Datalogic’s Enhanced AE QR Code Generator.
To make your device staging process even more efficient, consider using Datalogic’s Android Enterprise QR Code Generator (docuemntation link) for the initial enrollment phase. This tool offer a clear UI to create encrypted Android Enterprise enrollment QR codes with Datalogic-specific enhancements, like EMM agent download from closed network or internal servers, mobile network settings, NTP setting, USB settings and QR code Enterprise BackUp to make the configuration resistant to an Enterprise reset.

Hi @Adrian_Perello,
You can use our Android Enterprise enrollment page to enroll your Skorpio’s into Intune. You can find the page here: Android Enterprise QR Code Generator
If you select Microsoft Intune as your mdm/emm you have to fill in your Intune Enrollment code in the extra’s section. Optional are the wifi parameters and for example the Leave all systems apps enabled.
If you’re devices are succesfully enrolled into Intune you can use the Datalogic Oemconfig app to configure the Datalogic Settings on your device. OEMConfig | Technical Documentation
Best of luck,
Gr Peter

Thanks for your answers, I am going to check the OEMConfig configuration because I need to “move” the current configuration that we do manually on each Skorpio X5 using the Scan2Deploy Studio by scanning a QR that we have to scan.
General configuration of the terminal
General configuration of the Scan2Deploy app.
Configuration from the Scan2Deploy Studio app (2 configurations, one for the EAN128 and one for the rest of the configuration).
The idea is to configure it in “kiosk” mode, so that the user can only use some apps:
AccessToGo (with the rdp access created).
