We have several Skorpio X5 but one of them has an issue with saving the configuration settings we input.
We go to Settings > Datalogic Settings > Scanner & decoder > Formatting > Standard Formatting > Label suffix.
The default setting for the label suffix is [LF]
We need to remove [LF] for us to be able to use the handheld properly. So we delete the [LF] and exit it out of the settings. There is no ‘save’ button, it automatically saves it.
The handheld then works fine. However if the device gets restarted the label suffix goes back to [LF]. So it means we have to change the setting back every time.
I have checked to see if the device needs updating, but it says it is up to date. It is Android Version 10
We don’t seem to have this issue with the other Skorpio X5 we have - just one in particular.
Thank you
Hi @Tristan_James,
I would suggest you update the firmware of the SkorpioX5. You can find the firmware of the SkorpioX5 here: Skorpio X5 - Android - Firmware - Products - Datalogic Developer Portal
If you can’t download the firmware (because you don’t have a contract for example) please open a case on our website so we can help you with it: Technical Support - Datalogic

Hi Tristan,
Welcome to the developer’s forum.
Peter’s suggestion is a good one. We did have a defect in early releases of the Skorpio X5 where deletions from some fields didn’t trigger the “dirty” flag that triggered automatic saves. That was fixed long ago.
I find that simply changing the page in the Settings app will trigger an automatic save. So, after deleting the “[LF]” from the field and tapping the OK button, try tapping the Back button once before exiting the Settings app. I think you’ll find the setting saved after that. If you’re still seeing that this setting is not saved, please reply.
Good luck,
